Do you need a quick and easy breakfast for busy days?
Jan 20, 2023Too busy for breakfast? I know life is busy and mornings are hectic, but there are super quick recipes you can make that also taste good. Having a few "breakfasts I make when I'm busier" options is a smart way to plan for busier days or weeks.
Yogurt bowls are quick, balanced and satisfying. They can also be made the night before for a grab and go option! Make them balanced by:
✔️ Using 2% M.F or higher yogurt, not 0% so you have a fat source. This will keep you full longer and stabilize your blood sugar. Make it dairy-free by using coconut yogurt instead! I personally don't like buying plain yogurt and adding maple syrup, so I buy the Liberte one that is lower in sugar and higher in protein! If you buy plain yogurt, a 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein can add sweetness and more protein to help keep you full longer.
✔️ Adding fibre. Fibre feeds your good gut bacteria. It also keeps you full longer so you don't get ravenous in between meals. I love holycrap cereal for the taste and the combo of ingredients that add 5g of fibre per 2tbsp.
✔️Adding granola for that satisfaction factor!! Adds crunch and taste that makes the bowl more enjoyable. Loving this new prana organic granola with only 8g of sugar per serving (in 3/4 cup) and I'm only using 2 tbsp!
✔️Lastly, I always add a fruit. I find frozen berries the best (fresh when in season). Choose the fruit you enjoy!
